The creator of the holiday calendar is Peter Schütz. He turned his hobby - IT - into a profession in 1997. He had previously set up the extranet of the Swiss Red Cross (SRC) and looked after the public SRC platforms. Today, Schütz develops his own online software, including for educational institutes and aid organisations. As a sole proprietorship, the IT specialist realises Internet projects to order.
Many visitors help with their knowledge of details and their tips and corrections to constantly improve the public holiday calendar - there is probably no comparable calendar in terms of scope and correctness - many thanks to all those who have contributed!
